Will this M.2 storage SSD work with this motherboard?

Yes, but that board can make use of a significantly better m.2 device. The 1151 PCH will allow for up to a PCIe 3.0 x4 m.2 device, and that one is PCIe 2.0 x1. It will work, but will not be significantly different than the performance of the 2.5" SSD cousin.

If looking for making good use of the m.2 slot on the 1151 board, then check out the Kingston HyperX Predator, or wait a few weeks for the Samsung 950pro m.2 to hit the stores.
