Hello,

This is my first time posting here so hopefully I am putting this in the right place. As the title says I recently built a new computer and it keeps freezing. It powers just fine but as soon as I place a game for a random amount of time my computer will freeze the screen and a hard boot is required to reset it. It usually goes for about 2-3 hours before a freeze. So far I have replaced the motherboard, switched out the ram and the video card but so far nothing seems to work. Though after replacing the motherboard it did seems to less the frequency of the crashes. I have also made sure that my graphics drive is up to date. I have re-installed windows a couple of times as well.

Build components:

Windows 10 64 bit.

Hard drives:Samsung 850 EVO 500GB 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD x3

Motherboard: ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 Socket AM3+ DDR3 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 AMD 990FX ATX Motherboard

PSU: Cooler Master V1200 - Fully Modular 1200W 80 PLUS Platinum PSU with Silent Fanless Mode Operation (6th Generation Skylake Ready

Ram: Kingston HyperX FURY 32GB Kit (4x8GB) 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM

Processor: Amd FD9590FHHKWOF Fx-9590 Oem Fx-series 8-core Black Edition

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 280L - PC CPU Liquid Water Cooling System, All-In-One Kit with 280mm Radiator and 2 JetFlo Fans

Sound Card: ASUS Xonar Essence ST 24-bit 192KHz PCI Interface Audio Card

Graphic Card: XFX Black Edition DD Radeon R9 390 1050MHz 8GB DDR5

For fans I have 140 intake fan at the back, my two water cooler fans are pushing the air out the top of the case then two more 200mm fans one at the front of the case and on the side

Thanks for any suggesting or advice. At this point I am pulling out my hair since I am out of idea that could be causing the issue,

install amd overdrive and check your thermal margins on the cpu

9590's are notorious for overheating, and only run at all on very specific motherboards

usually people need to underclock them to run stably, so it all ends up a big waste of time and money...

Just installed AMD OneDrive and it seems like the Terminal Margin is going from 40c to 55c. Also how would one go about unlocking one?

Thanks

underclocking, basically making them run slower. The opposite of overclocking

thermal margin basically shows you how close you are to max temp usually will begin to throttle
