Hi, I want to use my 2TB silicon power a80 HDD with my Macbook's own OS X and bootcamp Windows 8.1 or probably Windows 10 and I want to encrypt the hard drive. My preferred format is NTFS and since I have tuxera ntfs installed on my mac, I have no problem with writing data on any NTFS Drive.
I have a Western Digital My Passport ultra and since it uses a hardware encryption method, and the software for unlocking it is self-contained, I have no problem using it with both Operating systems whatsover.
I tried to divide the a80 it into 2 partitions, one for Mac (HFS+) and one for Windows (NTFS) and I used Filevault to encrypt the HFS+ partition and BitLocker to encrypt the NTFS one but it was kinda useless because windows cannot read the Filevault encrypted partition, and Mac can't read the BitLocker encrypted one.
I tried Veracrypt and I didn't like it one bit.
What I simply need is a cross-platform, self-contained encryption tool to encrypt my HDD. Something like the WD My Passport (I know it's different)
What do you guys think I should do? I just know that there MUST be a way to do this.

So I should just simply forget it?
Speaking of discovering, I found out that By intstalling Windows on Mac using Paralles, I could have access to the BitLocker Partition ON the Mac and Copy files from it directly to the Macintosh HD (and the other way around), But, unfortunately Windows can't read the Filevault encrypted hfs+ drive so basically I can't transfer files between the two partitions on the a80 which is important to me.
