I always leave my laptop plugged in. I noticed that it was at 95% and said plugged in not charging. So I unplugged it to drain the charge no it says 100% charge. Is it still trying to charge ? Im not sure if this is a issue or the battery can fluctuate ?
The charging circuits are very clever and wont overcharge the battery, its perfectly fine. However look to see if your laptop has a setting which reduces the maximum charge, my Sony has a Battery Care setting which stops it charging at either 60% or 80%. This setting is for when you use your laptop mostly plugged into the charger. Lithium batteries suffer reduced life if kept at full charge for very long periods of time.
