Macbook Air 2014 Storage Problems

There is something taking up storage on my Macbook Air 2014. I checked the graph that shows what files are taking up what percentage of space. I see that audio takes up around 42 GB. But, when I Get Info on my music folder it claims that it takes up around 25 GB. I'm wondering what is taking up my storage.

You might have audio files living somewhere other than just your music folder.

From your desktop look up at the toolbar at the top and go to: Go --> Home. You'll be able to easily see your music folder as well as movies, pictures, downloads, etc. I'd take a look in some of your other media folders to make sure there aren't other repositories somewhere. Often people's downloads folder is a giant accumulation of media.
