So I am largely paranoid about my components overheating. I just have a fear that if I don't keep the gpu cool, it won't last me as long as I want.
I figured that to battle this fear, I should get more ventilation. But I was being stupid while looking at the case, it was the last thing I was looking at, then right when I found one with usb 3.0 headers, I ordered it. Stupid, I know.
Then I noticed that the back has an opening and I could hopefully stick a fan in there. So I tried it.
I took off all of those little... Blocker....things off of the back. As you will be able to see in the picture. I would stick a fan in the bottom of the case and have air flow outta the PC. To make the gpu fan not be blowing the same warm air.
I did a little test and a felt a lot of air from that fan go out the back. I have the gtx 970 btw. Also, I only want to get a new case at the last resort. I don't want to switch. I have no idea how and what to do to move the components.
Do you think this would work? Will it cool the gpu a bit? Can I raise the Lego platform to improve efficiency?
