I'm buying a new GPU , sapphire radeon NITRO r9 390 and was wondering if my current motherboard will be able to run with it, gigabyte Intel z77 LGA1155? Will this MB last me a bit longer or am I better off replacing it? Will my cooler master HAF 912 mid tower case be big enough to fit the R9 390 also? I feel like I might have to replace my motherboard but I just spend 500$ on the GPU and new PSU. Hoping I can keep this one or if there is a good priced motherboard if mine doesn't work out.

Current specs:
Cooler Master HAF 912 Mid tower
Sapphire AMD radeon HD 6870 1gb
Intel core i5-3570k quad core
PNY optima 8GB
Gigabyte intel z77 LGA1155 AMD crossfireX
Corsair builder series cx600 600w 80 plus certified (upgrading to a EVGA supernova 850 G2 80+ gold, 850w)

I also see no issue. I'd say update your BIOS before you upgrade, to avoid any headaches or needing to use the iGPU just to flash a new one, other than that, no issues at all. There is very rarely if ever an actual incompatibility between a motherboard or CPU and a graphics card, even if the board is PCIE 2.0 that's not a problem either until you start using PCIE SSDs in conjunction with your card.
