I just sold this thing:

Microsoft Wireless IntelliMouse Explorer with Fingerprint Reader

Mentioned in these links:

However, I was only able to find the fingerprint reader, not the mouse. Besides the reader, 2 CD-ROMs and a printed manual was sent to the buyer.

My questions are simple: will it work with Windows 10? What is this thing, for what use the buyer can do?

Sorry for my ignorance, but I never used it and I am glad to got rid of it.

I just hope it can fit his needs and he doesn't have to return it for some reason.

Solution
It's used for logging into windows with your fingerprint instead of a password. You can also set it up to prompt on any website or software that is password protected. Yes it works with windows 10.
