Mystified by this one. Recently received my new Z97 from Tiger Direct, and I'm now setting it up. I Stripped it down to the bare minimum: PSU, HDD, CPU/Fan, Memory, DVD Drive.
I was doing some reboots trying to get W10 installed. Everything was working fine for an hour: Ubuntu installed and booted... looking good.
Then the rig flatlined! Neither the case nor the onboard power buttons are working. The mobo is getting power, indicator lights are lit as they should be. I worked through all the steps at the link below, with no luck.
Given that the rig was booting fine for a while, maybe something got hung up? Any ideas? This did happen a few times before, but I was able to get it back up by simply unplugging the power.
