All right, hmm... Where to start... Okay, so I am a US soldier in the reserves who is going active duty, and I'm also an avid gamer. My laptop is just too weak to handle the kind of power my desktop has. I would like to make my PC into something more portable -as I am always on the run- did some research; found out about briefcase PC's (DIY). I've seen builds, but it seems like most of them are unique. I really have no idea what I'm doing in this area, and I need some help. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I don't really have the money at this time to buy much, so parts on hand will, hopefully, have to suffice. At the same time, I can afford to buy screws and the like.

This is the case I was thinking of: http://www.overstock.com/Luggage-Bags/Copa-Aluminum-Silver-5-inch-Attache-Case/4819470/product.html?refccid=MYYCCCJ6XXMJBXSNHWFHSOLODU&searchidx=7

Here are the juicy, beefy parts to my desktop: http://imgur.com/K5VgmEB

I find it's best to ask people that have a better idea of what they're doing before you start a project. I've soldered maybe twice in my life, and making precise cuts just isn't my thing. I wouldn't be lugging this thing around everyday so it's not like I need everything to be extremely accessible, however, I would like a nice, seamless look where all I have to do is maybe pull out a power plug, and a keyboard.

If you have any other suggestions as for, just at least moving my PC around SAFELY, I would greatly appreciate it.

Will your power supply, video card, CPU heatsink and motherboard fit in that case? If yes, there is really not much to it aside from routing out the holes for cooling and ports and drilling in mounting points and rails for the components. You may want to have someone else do this, if you mount something improperly you can short out the power supply or motherboard.

Or sell the system and get a gaming laptop.

And best wishes for your enlistment, hope you get safe deployments.
