Hello!

I have a bit of a problem with fraps when recording gameplay. Usually I can play with up to 400fps , but as soon as I start recording it drops to 5-10.

i5-2320
GeForce GTX 550 ti

Also I have 0 knowledge of PC stuff so please bear with me.

Appreciate the help!

don't use fraps, it's garbage. It also caps your FPS.

You can try OBS since it's free:

And here's how to set it up for local recordings, start at the recommended crf 15, and lower it for higher quality and higher file size recordings.

And to set it up for twitch:

How much ram you have will also affect recording, you can get by with 8gbs, but 16 would be better.
Also recording to a hard drive that you're not playing the game off of helps alot, as having to read and write to/from the same drive is really hard for the computer.
