So I am considering buying an Xbox One this year. But I have a nagging suspicion if I wait two more years there will be a new revised Xbox One in 2017. What I am asking is: "How long will the current Xbox One Generation last before a newer 2nd generation comes out" I don't expect an exact date but a educated estimate.

Although it seems if there is a new revison, it will be support for 4K screens. So, unless you have a 4K monitor/TV, it wouldn't matter. (If the rumors are true that is) of course we would rather see you build a gaming PC (unless you're after a console only title that is)
For most of us, by the time 4K screens are affordable, the next gen will have been released

Yes I did read that Wiki, I gathered about a 4-5 year cycle but I was wondering if the Xbox One may be a different story this time around. I should have elaborated that on my first question. My apologizes
