Recently i built a gaming PC and have ran it successfully for a few hours yesterday before going to bed. Now everytime i try to load a game or download something my PC will crash and say MEMORY_MANAGEMENT error. Scan now. But it never scans automatically but just shuts down and won't come on again for around 30 minutes. Here are my specs:

Case: CiT 1017 Black Midi ATX Mesh Gaming PC Case
Motherboard: MSI Micro ATX G41M-P25 LGA 775
RAM: 2 x 2gb Rendition DDR3 240 Pin 1333Mhz
Graphics Card: Nvidia Asus GeForce GT 730 Silent 1gb
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @3.0Ghz
Power Supply: CiT Pemtium 500 Watts 230 Volts Micro ATX
Hard Drive: 320gb Western Digital Caviar Blue SATA Main HDD
Portable Verbatim 500gb External HDD
Fan Cooling: 1 x 92mm CiT 7 Blade PSU Fan
2 x 120mm Arctic 9 Blade Side Vent Fans
Operating System: Windows 8.1 64 bit Pro

Please HELP! :)

Solution
1) Download and create a MEMTEST DVD or USB www.memtest.org (for quick test just start the local MEMORY diagnostic in Windows and reboot as told. Let run for a few minutes. If errors no need to run MEMTEST just yet as you have a problem with DDR3 memory.

2) Run Memtest (until errors or FULL PASS... full pass is roughly 30 min for 8GB I think)

3) Errors? that likely means:
a) bad DDR3 stick
b) memory timing issue (BIOS setup)
c) bad motherboard

4) Error troubleshooting:
a) motherboard manual-> see location for ONE STICK usage only
b) shut down and connect one DDR3 stick
c) run Memtest
d) repeat for all sticks (if one tests bad and one does not then it's a defective DDR3 stick... if both test bad probably not the memory sticks)

Other...

Other:
a) update BIOS for motherboard if newer exists
b) ensure CPU and DDR3 memory are using DEFAULT settings in BIOS (not overclocked)
c) MEMTEST may not boot... if so change BIOS so the DVD or USB (as applicable) is the first boot device before the OS drive.

Summary:
That's not complete but a good start.
