I was tampering with my GTX 970 recently and I ended up underclocking, I think, according to Valley Benchamrk. Before I started with it on MSI afterburner I ran Valley 2 times and got 123 and 124 fps but after I started toying with the numbers in Afterburner I ended up with highs of 51 and 52. Is it possible that I underclocked the card ? And how do I get it back to the settings it was before?

It's entirely possible, yes.
As it's a factory OC card, you should be able to use a "restore defaults", "apply defaults" or "reset" within MSI Afterburner to restore it to it's factory state - in this case, "factory overclocked"

I did do that and went and looked around here on the forums a bit and found that I needed to reinstall the nvidia drivers and/or uninstall MSI Afterburner so I did both and it went back to normal somewhat. I lost 10 frames from the factory OC but it may have just been a bad roll on the benchmark. Going to keep trying now. Thank you for the response, and in such a short amount of time. I appreciate it.
