Hell everyone, I'm getting ready to start ordering the parts for my first PC build. Considering it is my first build I don't know much about parts and everything, so I'm looking for some help in choosing my parts.

My total budget for the build is around $900
I've pretty sure I have a case I like the Corsair Carbide 200R, if there is anything better within the price, please say so
I would prefer an Intel CPU, but if there is a better AMD I wouldn't really care
I'm not particular on the company of my GPU, I just want the best price for performance
All I will be really doing with this computer is gaming, and maybe some streaming/recording if there was any it would be limited.
I don't need a monitor for this because I do already have one, unless you guys would recommend buying a new one considering the one I have now came with my current PC.

Thanks for the help in advance

The above build looks good although a 400W+ PSU would be fine for it. The GTX 970 is like 145-160W, the CPU is <65W and the rest of the system would be like 50-60W. Also you don't really need the aftermarket CPU cooler unless overclocking.

THe money saved from those could probably get your 200R.

$900 dollar build here you go. You can always change out the gtx 970 if you feel like that's too OP for your needs, you can get a windows key for around 40 bucks and a hard drive (1tb) for 50 bucks the next time you get a paycheck or allowance or something.

Few tweaks on the above build there gets you your case of choice and a hard drive for the same price.

You don't need to change the case for now which is no big deal.

This looks great, my only question is, would it really be worth it spending the extra money on a modular power supply. Was just wondering it seemed like it would be a little easier for a first time build.
