Hi I am building a new PC and I just want to know what you think is a better combination?

An Asus Z97-PRO Gamer (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Z97-PRO-Gamer-S1150-Gaming-Motherboard/dp/B00UTGGP5O/) with an Intel Core i5 4690K Processor (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Intel-4690K-Processor-LGA1150-Socket/dp/B00KPRWB9G).

Or an Asus Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sabertooth-990FX-R2-0-Motherboard-Multi-GPU/dp/B008RPYAS8) with an AMD FX-8350 (http://www.amazon.co.uk/AMD-FX8350-Processor-4-2GHz-Socket/dp/B009O7YUF6).

What will it be used for?

Do you intend to OC?

The Intel will win except in cases of heavily multithreaded applications and/or EXTREME multitasking and that will still likely require a fairly substantial overclock on the FX.

Keep it simple and go Intel.
