I recently switched from console to pc and I'm just used to paying $60 for a new game, but some friends told me that websites like g2a.com sell you games for much lower prices and it sorta seems too good to be true coming from console. How does g2a manage to do what they're doing, I don't understand especially because it's only a digital download, if anyone could explain it that'd be awesome.

There have also been reports of stolen CC numbers being used to buy legit keys. They might also sell you a key that was bought in a different country. Might be $60USD here, but in X 3rd world country it might be only $15USD. Sell it to you at $25 and you make a profit. The problem is sometimes these keys get found out, and you are out the game.

Well if it sounds like it's too good to be true, it most likely is. The thing is, you don't want to get caught up in a licensing scam, which is exactly what G2A does - they sell "legitimate" licenses only on the basis that most of the keys are obtained from sketchy sources. Like a Windows license that's from a university enterprise version (where something like 1,000 keys get generated per day and only 1/2 of them get used), or enterprise versions, or deactivated keys. Things of that nature.

The site might be legit, but not all of its keys are.

Earlier this morning, Ubisoft confirmed that deactivated keys were fraudulently purchased through Origin. EA has since removed all Ubisoft products from the service to prevent further fraudulent purchases.

Trust me, this is not the only time this has happened.
