So I am in a college apartment and I have been looking into getting a projector for videogames, movies, and tv. However I am looking around for a way to connect the tv cable to projector and am having some trouble.

Is there a way to connect the cable to the projector? It has hdmi inputs. So is there a way to get coaxial to hdmi?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yup, you'll need a TV tuner with HDMI out.

http://www.projectorcentral.com/Optoma-HD141X-projection-calculator-pro.htm shows you should get a decent size picture (assuming proper projection screen). Only thing you should watch out for is the fact that projectors can have more lag than monitors (they claim the DLP chip is 16ms lag, but they don't state the pre-processing lag), though not enough to really make too much of a difference unless you're gaming on the pro level.
If you have cable television service, the easiest thing to do is ask for a cable box with HDMI.

If you mean there's A (coaxial) cable, you'll have to get a TV tuner (either for your computer or stand alone box with HDMI output).

Those should work, though image quality is going to depend on your setup more than connection method.

The college provides the service so all we have is a coaxial cable. So I gotta get a tv turner with hdmi out and then connect that to the projector? Here is the projector I am looking at:
