Help me chose! New gen cards? News and Rumours? Worth waiting for under 300$ Radeon?

Hey everyone,

I'm so pissed. There are plenty amazing games coming up during the cold time of year - and the stupid new cards are most likely to come out only in around May or smth.

I can see only a small amount of people buying new gaming cards right before summer in comparison to the possible sales right before christmas.

I don't like any of the available cards. I read plenty, that the 3xx series radeons are crap because of being very inefficient and the Nvidia politics!! Stupid G-Sync super special 200$ extra monitor prices?

Having in mind a possibility to run 1440p games on a FreeSync monitor, is there a solution? Does anyone know a thing or two if AMD is preparing any new generation cards? Is it worth waiting?
I'm targeting the price gap in between R9 380 and R9 390.

At the moment, I'm considering going for gtx950 as it's totally enough for 1080p gaming and ignore them G-sync monitors etc....

Well the r9 280x/380 is better card at 1080p it even can run 1440p

Have you looked at a 4GB version of the R9 380. It beats a GTX 960 2GB and 4GB. Although the R9 380 is not as good as the GTX 970. From what I have seen, a GTX 970 is cheaper than an R9 390, and can run better especially at lower resolutions.

And note as well, I am upgrading a graphics card very very soon, and also my PSU. Plans were first aimed at a GTX 970, then an R9 390. I then dropped back to a GTX 970 due to my case, and from there I dropped down to an R9 380 because it was $180 cheaper for slightly worse yet still good performance. (Another reason was because of the fact that the GTX 970 only has 3.5GB of fast-paced memory, and 0.5GB extremely slow
