I have a brother L2740DW with a mac - ox 10.10.5 - and, like others have found, it keeps going off line. I can reboot the printer but it is a pain. i have read the threads for fixes with windows but what do i do for the mac to stop this. many thanks for who ever replies. David

I took a quick look at the manual and noticed this printer has an auto-off setting if it's inactive (or in "Deep Sleep Mode") for too long. Have you tried disabling that option?
Here's the steps to disable or change it:
Press Menu.
Press ▲ or ▼ to display the General Setup option, and then press OK.
Press ▲ or ▼ to display the Ecology option, and then press OK.
Press ▲ or ▼ to display the Auto Power Off option, and then press OK.
Press ▲ or ▼ to display the 8 hours, 4 hours, 2 hours, 1 hour, or off option, and then press OK.
Press Stop/Exit.
