Hello guys,

As the title says, is the ssd 750 compatible with the asus sabertooth z87 motherboard?

My system:

780 evga
Samsung 840 256gb
Asus sabertooth z87
Gskill 16 gb 2400 mhz
850 watts sentey(not so good I know)
I7 4770k
Hyper plus 212

Im traveling to the US and I'm going to buy a 980ti ftw and I was planning on getting the Samsung pro 850 1tb but I saw that this Intel ssd is way faster than the Samsung's ssd.

Thanks for helping!

The Intel SSD 750 PCIe version works perfectly with the ASUS Z87-Pro mainboard.

I can't use it as a boot device, but as secondary volume. I have full read and write speeds. Since Z87-Pro board only provides 16 PCIe 3.0 lanes directly to the CPU, the graphics card can use 8 lanes instead of 16 and the SSD 4. However, I didn't see any perfomance loss in my graphics card.

If you mod the bios to include an nvme driver you can use it as a boot device. Check out the win-raid forums for instructions.
