will an amd 8320 with a msi gaming motherboard work

Simple google on the cpu would have told you this, FX_8320 < 200W (its is 125w).
Also had you looked at the cpu support list MSI has on their website you would have seen it listed there.
As stated by nelius, the warning is for the 9xxx chips which frankly are a complete waste of money because they are just factory overclocked fx-8350. Not to mention you can get a Xeon or i5 for the same price which are better.
