I recently installed a HyperX Savage SSD 240 gb in my computer. With that it has now started shutting down, sometime it restarts sometimes it shuts down properly. Today it shut down once when I played a game, but after that it just shut down 2 more times when I did nothing more than to be on google chrome.
I got the message "power supply surges detected during previous power on ASUS Anti-Surge was triggered to protect system from unstable power supply unit" one of the latter shut-downs.
So from what I can gather it is a problem with my power supply, which I by the way bought last year. It is a Corsair CX 430 M.
Can anyone tell me if this is connected to my new SSD or something else, I only have 4 gb RAM which got me to think that it might not be able to "handle" a new SSD or so, but I am far from knowledgeable in the area.
