Hello

I was on my computer and the internet on the computer randomly stopped working. It works on other devices. I can see my Network adapters it says Killer e2200 Gigabit Ethernet Controller in device manager, but the internet still doesn't work. I've the newest drivers for it. I really don't know what to do.

Please help

Thanks!

What you need to do is start testing connections. Open a command prompt window and type ping and then either a known IP address of a device on your network or your router's IP (generally 192.168.1.1, but it could be different). If it says connection timed out, that means its something wrong with your nic or built in ethernet controller, if it works try to ping outside your network, 8.8.8.8 is the ip address of google's dns server. If that works, then you have a dns issue.

also try to ping 127.0.0.1 which is a ping that just sends data to test to see if your nic is working, in other words can data go to your e2200 gigabit ethernet controller and can it be sent back and the same data can be read. If it doesn't work, then you have a bad nic.
