So the problem i am having with my H100i is simply that its really loud. My CPU is a 17 4770k at the moment not overclocked. When i boot the PC all the fans go to max as usuall and then everything goes silent for a couple of seconds but then as soon as the windows log on screen shows up the CPU fans go up to max for some reason. Sometimes but very rerely the fans go silent for a couple of seconds during gaming but then go to max again. I have no idea what is causing this but i have notised that my CPU is running on turbo and maybe that is triggering the fans? Any help is really appreciated.

Well, I guess we need to start with how you set it up.

Are you letting the motherboard control the pump/fan speed? Corsair Link? Did you hook the fans directly to power?

How long have you had it? Is this behavior new, or since installation?

If you haven't been monitoring CPU temperatures you should probably start. It is possible the pump has stopped working and the fans are revving up in an attempt to compensate.

Not sure if you can tell, many people tell me they can't but I don't seem to have any issues telling, if one side is cooler/warmer then the other and if you can tell if the fluid is moving through the hoses. Check for abnormal pump noise.

If the temperatures look high make sure the cooler is still in proper contact with the CPU. (H100i on a 4770k shouldn't see temperatures above 70C under full CPU load, should idle around 35C after it has warmed up)

Thanks for the quick response! At the moment the fans are connected to the H100i and the H100i is connected to the CPU fan pin connecter on the motherboard. I have downloaded corsair link and i assume that its controlling the fan speeds as i can controll the H100i through corsair link. I have had the H100i for about 6 months now and the problem has been there since the beginning. At the moment i dont have acces to the computer so i cant test temps right now but i should be able to tomorrow. What do you mean with if one side is cooler/warmer do you mean on the different sides of the hose? Also another thing that i should of mentioned is that i had a bad motherboard for a while that ended up breaking my SSD and a couple of weeks ago i switched it out is it possible that the motherboard broke the H100i?

Okay, so in Corsair link, as long as the h100i is hooked up to a USB header you should see temperatures, pump speed, fan speed, and have the controls for the LED. You are going to want to check the pump speed for a non-zero value and try changing it and listening for the change. Increasing the pump speed may resolve your issue. Yes it should be giving you fan speed and control. You can create custom fan profiles to test this. (It could be that it is just set to run the fans as fast as possible for the given temperature and you need to create a new profile)

CPU temperature monitoring is very important here. H80i and H100i have a habit of not fitting very well onto some motherboards and require spacers between the backplate and motherboard to increase contact pressure. (An easy test, monitor the CPU temperature and press down on the cooler, if temperature decreases significantly, you need to add spacers)

If you say the problem has persisted for 6 months, not sure what to tell you. CPU cooling usually isn't something you just leave as 'good enough'
