This my rig that im planing to buy:
Corsair obsidian 450D
Intel 4690k
cooler master 212 evo
Maximus VII hero
G skill trident x pc3 19200
1tb wd hard disk
ssd 120 or 320
Msi gtx 970

So im little confused about power supply. Im thinking of buy evga superNova G2 because i heard it is a very good power supply. So my question is how many watts do i need for this rig. Also if you think that something should be replaced for better performance in gaming, let me know...THANKS

Yes, it's overkill. Even 500w is quite alot for this build. You could easily run 970s in SLI with just 700-750w.

OCd 970s only uses 243w under torture

So there is absolutely no way that the card will ever use 375 watts.
In normal gaming it doesnt even need 200w under full load.

A misunderstanding, I never said about 970/ 970's, Titan Z is the only card which draws 375 W which is quit higher than others (right now in the market) . So, in future there is a minimal chance that a card will draw more than 375 W. That's what i told. He will need that 850 watt if he add some further upgrades including overclocking cpu/gpu.
He asked, getting 850w power supply unit is worthy for further upgrades in future, the answer is already in this post. For now, 750w is enough.
