I can access my home Comcast WiFi and I can also log into the Comcast website to access my account info. However, neither of those username/password combos will allow me to access the xfinitywifi access point that is available from neighborhood locations. Am I missing a configuration setting? Thanks.

You have to be a subscriber to Xfinity's internet service to use their free WiFi hotspots:
http://wifi.xfinity.com/
http://wifi.xfinity.com/
Not sure I understand your reply. I already have a Comcast account and am able to connect to WiFi via my router. I'll continue reading the wifi.xfinity.com website for more info on this issue. I'm sure I'm missing something. Thanks.
Problem solved, I think. I had previously tried connecting to xfinitywifi when at home. When I actually took a walk away from my home WiFi, I was able to connect to the xfinitywifi access point. Thanks so much to all who replied. And thanks for the wifi.xfinity.com link.
