Wall-Plugged Ethernet Switches

Hey fellow Tom fans! So my question today is...can you setup a Powerline network using two different branded wall-plugged ethernet switches? If so, how do I go about doing so? I currently have a Netgear XE104 and Actiontec PWR504. Thank you so much in advance!!

In theory at least these devices support various levels of the homeplug standard and should negotiate one they both support. In practice many device have trouble working with other manufactures. All you can do it try it if you already own them. I would not recommend buying different ones...in fact you have to be somewhat careful even when the devices are from the same manufacture but different product lines.
