I need help picking a good cpu for my new build. It has to be something that can do gaming and light to moderate video recording and editing. My budget is $230~$250 because I'm putting a Gigabyte Gtx 980 G1 Gaming In my build. My pc specs:http://pcpartpicker.com/p/WdBMWZ Btw I need it to overclock well and my motherboard has a Lga 1150 socket

Do you already have the i5-4690K? If yes, then there's nothing better you can get in that price range. The only thing that would do a bit better in video editing would be the i7-4790K, but that costs around $330.

No problem. The i5-4690K is a great CPU that performs pretty much the same as the i7-4790K in gaming and also has plenty of power for video editing, so there's really no reason to change it.
