I've recently bought a machine with a Xeon E3-1240 processor and a Nvidia NVS300 graphics card. I also purchased an EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti video card to upgrade.

The NVS300 only had DVI output and I do not have any DVI cables or adapters. The new card has HDMI ouputs which I have cables for. I replaced the NVS card with the GTX card and booted up the computer for the first time. The display worked and I went through the initial setup for windows.

Checking in Device Manager, under Display Adapters it says "Standard VGA Adapter" instead of recognizing the GTX card. I first tried to scan for hardware changes with no luck. Then, I tried to update drivers automatically. Next, I downloaded the latest drivers and tried using Nvidia's driver update tool to install them and it immediately failed. Next, I tried to browse to the driver folder through the driver update in Device Manager. I still haven't been able to update the drivers and recognize the video card fully. The card definitely isn't functioning to its full capabilities due to this as my Windows Experience score for graphics is 1.0.

Any suggestions?
