I have an MSI geforce GTX 970 4 GB graphics card. I have an ASUS ROG Swift as my primary monitor and an older Dell monitor that I use for multitasking.

I noticed the graphics card has been acting weird lately where I always have to restart again once I boot up otherwise everything will lag, and I get low FPS at around 40 for most games where I use to get 80+. This mostly happened after I got Windows 10 even though I have the updated windows 10 driver from NVIDIA. I though resetting it would help so I published a thread yesterday asking how to reset a graphics card but that only made things worse.

Now when I try to connect my dell monitor, the asus monitor wont work. But if I unplug my dell monitor the asus monitor will work, all while the asus monitor IS in fact still plugged in. I am currently typing this on my Del monitor

Solution
Go into Nvidia settings and make sure that you have both monitors enabled. You should be able to find Nvidia settings if you right click on your desktop.
