Cannot re-install windows XP

Hi all,

I am trying to re-install Windwos Xp but when I boot from CD I get the following message while the system is booting:

The file 3waredrv.sys could not be found. Press any key to continue.

Then the system exits the installation!

I downloaded the file 3waredrv.sys for Windows XP from the website and placed it in the directory C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers and re-tried installing the Windows XP. Same error!!

The problem is that I really need to re-install Windows XP and this is stopping me from progressing.

Could anybody in the forum help me out! I tried several solutions but same problem.

Thanks for replying man. I have tried 3 different XPs and each time I get the same problem: The file 3waredrv.sys could not be found. Press any key to continue.

It is a problem with the file 3waredrv.sys missing on my local hard drive, not from the XP CDs. I got the XPs from bittorrent.

The problem is that I cannot even format my PC to re-install because this missing file is preventing me from progressing...

From what I have read, it is possible that the 3waredrv.sys went missing after I installed a program...I tried replacing it by downloading it from the net same problem...

PLZ HELP MEEEE!!!!! :??:
