I built my first PC in a bout 15 years to replace my mac for video editing and a moderate amount of gaming. Recently though I have noticed a dip in gaming performance. I'm not a big gamer but I play a little GTV 5, DOD Source, and Guild Wars 2 and I just want to make sure I'm getting the most out of my hardware. At first I was getting consistent 60fps in GTV 5 and Guild Wars 2 and almost 300 in DOD source. Now, however those numbers are basically cut in half as well i'm experiencing some stuttering.
What is the best way to diagnose problems like these? Are there software tests/benchmarks I should be running etc?
