.........I am getting A BLACK SCREEN ERROR ! when i install my new 2 GB DDR 3 @1333Mhz ram............I have a 4 GB DDR @ 1333Mhz RAM....i can booot using my 4 gb ram but i cant with my 2gb

It is not even showing ASUS when booting with 2gb RAM....

4GB === ZION
NEW 2GB==SAMSUNG (HP)

Did you test the new RAM on it's own? Test it in another system to make sure it's good? Try a BIOS update on your system?

Prob not compatible with the other stick and may not even be compatible with your rig, You mention it's a HP stick, they have often been known to use DRAM that is proprietary to their specific mobos in order to lock you in to buying upgrades from them (at about 2-3 times the going price for DRAM)

If not compatible you can't. Might try with only the old stick, go in and raise the DRAM voltage + 0.06, then shutdown and try adding the HP. What mobo and CPU?
