I found this card laying around the house, and I would like to start using it. However, when i look it up, I see a lot of people talking about it being a "Mac" graphics card. I'm definitely not an expert on GPU's at all, and would like some help determining if my computer will be able to handle the card, and if it's even worth using. Also need to know if it's just strictly for mac computers, or if my computer will be able to use it.

My specs are:

AMD A8-3820 APU with Radeon HD Graphics (4 CPU's)
6 GB RAM
2 TB HDD
Windows 7 Home premium

The Power supply is 300 WATTS. I'm sure i'll be needing a much more powerful one.

Solution

550 to 600 watts, make sure you get on with 2 6 pin connectors

Thanks for the quick response. I just tried installing it, but didn't get a picture. However like i said, My Power supply only gives out 300 WATTS, and only has 1 6-pin connector. The graphics card has 2 6-pin connectors on it.

Do I need to buy a new power supply? If so how many watts does it need to be? I've searched, and have not found an answer.
