Hi All,

I have a Dell Inspiron 15R SE 7520 laptop and recently upgraded to Windows 10. Ever since then I have been having problems. Now whenever I turn on my laptop I get a black screen that says 'media fail' and 'no bootable device'. Does anybody know of a way to fix this?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Tom

I ran into the same problem upgrading to Windows 10 and the only way I could fix this was doing a format. I had to reinstall Windows 8.1, do all the updates again and use the media creation tool for Windows 10 to reinstall it. After that, everything ran smoothly. My problem came in when I tried to install Windows 10 and keep all my programs and files and this corrupted my boot manager.

Hope this helps :)
