  1. I wouldnt bother with anything better than a GT 730 if buying new, or a Gt 440 buying used.
  2. I'm sure you already know this but I'll say it anyway. You need a new computer. That CPU is too old to handle most modern games. You could play old games on it with a new graphics card but buying anything more expensive than $50 is not going to be worth it.
  3. if ur on a budget go for gtx 750 ti (most popular budget gpu), if u have money to spend then go for a 970 it's a highend gpu and it can power your future pc also

This is terrible advice. His motherboard is for a Pentium 4. Both the gpus you suggest are way overkill for this system.
  5. Spend whatever money you have on a CPU and motherboard. If you'd prefer not to wait on getting a GPU, (because you don't have the money etc.) consider buying a decent APU to hold you over. AMD A# series APU's would work, but you'll have to get a new motherboard. I don't recommend dedicating a GPU to that computer.

honestly if youre going to be playing anything more intense than minesweeper youre going to need a new pc. period. get a processor that has built in graphics so you dont have to buy a graphics card right off the bat. amy good gpu will literally not do you sny good. it will perform as a low end gpu that would not bottleneck in this system. in this pc, there probably is not a good storage, and that would be the only part that you would be able to save. if you do a cpu and motherboard upgrade, chances are you will need to upgrade everything else in the system to make them work. i would start looking for a pc/pc build that fits your needs and budget because you arent going to be doing very effective gaming at all on that ancient pc. if i have read you wrong and you just want a gpu and dont want to do any gaming, im sorry.
