Hello everyone,

I am looking for some help to finalize my build for my job.

Basically I am looking for suggestions and/or compability issues or the like.

I am looking to OC (not too hardcore) and run with two monitors.

So far the build looks like this:

We use SolidWorks at the office - so that is what it will have to run.

I am from Denmark so the prices listed in the link is not 100 % correct.

Thank you for your help! :)

Not bad. My thoughts are below.

MB - The Maximus is nice, but a bit of overkill. Look toward the ASUS Z97-A
MEM - You won't see a benefit from the faster modules and the higher voltage isn't needed either. Look toward DDR3-1600 CL9 or lower, or DDR3-1866 CL10 or lower. ...both at 1.5v. If you want performance modules, then lower the respective latency.
SSD - Look toward the Samsung 850 EVO, not the prior gen 840 EVO.
GPU - Do you already own the FirePro?
PSU - The Corsair AX is a nice PSU, but typically overpriced. Check prices on XFX, Seasonic, or the EVGA G2 lineup as well. 550w is plenty for your build. 750w would be sized for you to add a second GPU down the road.
MONITOR - For the price of those 16:10 aspect ratio 1200p monitors, you can get into a 1440 display for not much more. Look toward a typical 16:9 24" (23.8") 1080 display, or step up to 1440.

Thank you for your reply!

I have a couple of questions.

My idea was to OC the memory aswell. Compared to the Kingston HyperX you have suggested the G.Skill's are actually cheaper. Would you still opt for those?

I have followed your advice and switched to the Samsung 850 EVO.

I do not own the FirePro w5100 - The alternative I had in mind was the Quadro K2200, but I went for the FirePro since it is 2/3 of the price.

Also switched to an EVGA G2 550W PSU - The other two is nice aswell - but not on stock.

I did some research about the monitors, and apparently the aspect ratio 16:10 is best for SW and CAD work in general. Would you still recommend otherwise?

About the mobo, the HERO is not that much more exspensive than the Asus Z97-A (like 1/4 more) and my budget allows it.

Also I have to run this build on wifi - what do you suggest I do here?

Thanks in advance
