So i've a local online shop selling the msi gtx 970 4g and msi r9 390 8g at the same price of the gtx 970,

Which one should i get for single monitor? Which one should i get for multiple monitor too?

Thanks for answering

The 650W PSU should be good enough to run the R9-390 with some OC'ing if desired. So you could use either card once you get the new PSU. Both cards will do the job using one monitor for gaming and one for video work. But keep in mind, any time you try to do that kind of work in the background while gaming, both the game and the other app will suffer some performance loss. You will need a strong CPU to play an online multiplayer game while you are rendering video.

What is the make and model of your power supply? The GTX 970 is a cool running 145W card, the R9-380 is a rather warm running 275W card. http://www.hwcompare.com/20169/geforce-gtx-970-vs-radeon-r9-390-8g/

And by "multiple monitors" do you mean a 2nd one for desktop use while gaming, or 3 monitors for gaming at 5760x1080?
