Hello,

I am highly anti-dust, and my compute side panel cannot close due to plugs from the HDD protruding too far for the panel to close.

What can I do about this? The HDD is the correct size and is seated as low as it can be, yet the plug from the cables stick out too high.

Solution
Yes, if you want to change the cables you would need to take the doors off and re-run a new wire. Usually the SATA data cables are plugged in directly from your motherboard into the device, so you would just need to follow the smaller cable from your drive to where it connects to the motherboard.

Here is an example of the right-angle SATA cables look like:

**Edit: Be sure to get a cable that will be long enough!

Corsair Carbide Series 200R Compact ATX Case CC-9011023-WW is the case. Also a buddy of mine has the same case, but his HDD cables look different than mine. They are flat instead of elongated like mine are.

This sounds like what I need, but I am using the cables that are already fed through the case. If I exchange the cables wouldn't it mean I'd have to take apart the case and feed the new wires through?
