I have had this laptop since 2013 got it brand new, but the more I use it the more I find it needs more RAM. I start searching and there is so much to know, where do you start!? I'm listing my specs below hoping someone will tell me exactly which DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM) to buy. I don't have alot of money but will save up if I must to get what it is that I need. I appreciate any help anyone can give me and thank you for your time. Amanda

Thank you for your help. Sorry it took me so long to respond. I ended up moving and honestly forgot all about my post until I was again thinking about needing more RAM. I didn't even know anyone had responded. Anyway, here I am again checking things out. I went to the link for the Mushkin Enhanced RAM and now I have more questions.

I was already looking before I re-found my post and the suggestion. I can't help but want to know why this one? I want to know what is the difference between RAM? Which one will give me the fastest performance? Is the fastest performance what I should be aiming for in the first place? I want to know what do I need to know in order to compare them and make the best choice?

I went to Crucial and ran the scan and it gives me quite a few different choices that are compatible with my hp pavilion sleekbook 15b-119wm. None of the ones they recommend are 'dual channel' like the Mushkin.

I don't really do much heavy gaming but I do like to multi-task quite a bit and have a few programs open at the same time. I've tried several browsers and for some reason I always come back to Opera. At any given time I have about 7 or more tabs open plus I've got like 10 extensions.

2 of the suggestions from Crucial say 'Performance memory for gamers and enthusiasts' the other 3 of say 'increases system performance. Even though I'm not really into heavy gaming wouldn't I want the Performance memory? I do like to edit videos and music while having my browser open checking other stuff.

Below are the choices that Crucial gave me & I not only want to know which is the best choice for best performance but also why please. I really appreciate it. I will make it a point to check back over the next few days so I don't miss any responses. Thanks again. Amanda
