Hello every one I will admit I know very little about the audio department. But I am looking to get these headphones; The Audio-Technica ATH-M50x

I was wondering if this; Asus - Xonar DX

Would give it 7.1 surround sound.
I currently have Logitech G930 headphones. But I really want these Audio Technica ones. And I'm on the fence about it because I'm not quite sure if I get a sound card It will give it 7.1 or not.
The G930s have surround sound, and it sounds very nice actually. But I want to get some higher quality headphones. Music with the G930s sound AMAZING, with the virtual surround sound, I will never listen to stereo headphones again. It just sounds bland.
I hear nothing but good things about the M50's but I don't want them if I wont get surround sound. Besides, I play a lot of games where hearing the exact location of enemy footsteps really helps a lot. Among other perks of having surround sound.
