Hello,

I have had the G1 card for about 9 months now. Recently put alot of money into an entire new system and built myself a custom water cooling loop.

I got one of the full cover EKWB water blocks for it and followed the instructions to the best I could. I was very meticulous and don't think I messed anything up.

The issue now that I got my loop set up is I'm getting coil whine off the card even when it isn't under load. I don't remember this happening unless the old systems fans were always so loud they masked it.

What could be causing this? I also got one of those Cablemod sleeved PSU replacement kits for my EVGA NEX 850 G2. Maybe its the power cables.

Any help would be appreciated.

Also all my temps are perfectly low. I mean they barely touch 50C even overclocked and being stress tested.

just an update I actually found out what it is. I isolated every problem I could and guess what. The issue has nothing to do with coil whine on one of the actual PC parts. The noise that sounds exactly like coil whine is coming from a bad case fan motor. Now I just have to find out which one lol.

It's hard because I have 6 fans on two radiators hooked up to two 3 fan splitters nicely tucked out of view but hard to get too.

It was a silly case fan all along.
