So I am at my wits end with this. I have tried every single thing that I have googled. Here is what I have tried.

1. EZ flash 2
When I try this EZ flash tells me the bios I am trying to use to update is older than the current BIOS and it won't let me do it.

2. ASUSupdate
I have selected, "Bios downgradeable" but when it loads the BIOS I want it says the EEPROM is incompatible.

3. AFUDOS in windows, the .exe won't even open because I am using Windows 7 64-bit.

4. I made a bootable usb stick with afudos on it. I was able to boot to afudos but the program would not flash the bios. After the "advanced check" it says "bad bios checksum error".

I'm completely lost...

EDIT: In case you're wondering why I want to go back to an old BIOS, heres why.

I got back into gaming recently and was having some issues that seemed to be cleared up with a BIOS update. After the update however I could no longer see my cpu temps in HW monitor. They just say 0ºC. Speedfan shows a core temp around 35ºC which isn't bad but before the update my CPU was normally around 20-25º. Thats a huge increase to me. And yes the CPU is an X3 unlocked to an X4 but I've had no issues stress testing the CPU, so I believe the 4th core to be fine after the 3 years I've been using it like this.

Thermal margins are at a constant 70º. They never change.
