I'm building a gaming pc, im new to all the amd vs Intel stuff
My specs are gonna be a gtx 960 with 8 gigs of ram. Where as the processor is still a question. I need suggestions
I'll be using it to play all the high end games. I'll do some Sony Vegas and will do a live stream upload to twitch while playing some high graphics game. I'll also be using shadoplay to record my games.
What would you suggest?
My price range can go up to 200dollars. I can also increase the budget by a bit.
Suggest a good mother board to suit the processor you suggest. Thank you!

The best future proof cpu for the money would be a 5820k, if your willing to jump to x99, if you want be reasonable, get a i5 4460 and h97 mobo, will give great gaming performance for the next 3 years.

Being future proof is not really possible.

I'm spending about 200 dollars just for the processor. I'll mostly play some high end game and record it with nvidia shadowplay or fraps. And I need the processor to be durable. I won't do any over clock

Intel Xeon E3-1231 V3 is Intel Core i7 4790 without Integrated GPU.

For Gaming: All of them perform same.
For Sony Vegas: Xeon 1231 > Fx 8350 > i5 4460

GTX 960 is not that much great for 1080p Gaming. R9 380 give you slightly better fps than 960. For true 1080p gaming you should go for R9 390 or GTX 970.

Considering that I'll use shadow play while gaming to record the game( multitask) and the new direct x 12 what would be a better processor? An amd fx 8350 or an Intel i5 4460. I'll still be using Sony Vegas. I need a good durable build.
