Earlier this year, I bought a cheap ASUS desktop computer in the hopes of slowly upgrading it to make it a really fast computer. I already got my graphics card, and I know someone who's giving me a core i7-4770k. I know that you have to do a fresh install of windows when swapping out motherboards, but since this system was pre-made, it came with Windows 8.1 with Bing. How would I reinstall windows on it if it doesn't have a product key?

P.S. I'm not gonna buy a new copy of Windows.

Solution
Since it's the *free* version with Bing, you are likely going to have to get a new copy of windows. If it was a full OEM version you could call MS and get the license transferred.
