I am purchasing 16GB DDR4 ram today, but need help figuring out which one to buy. 16GB is WAY more then what I need, but if for some weird reason I need to upgrade in the future (which I won't) then at least I don't have to buy another matching 8gb stick. Playing it safe rather than sorry

Back on topic. G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (Timing 15-15-15-35 ) is going for $97.99.

vs

CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (Timing 14-16-16-31) is going for $99.99.

I won't be doing any OC for several years as my parts should hit max settings in games without it.

Solution
I've owned memory from both companies and have been very satisfied. GSkill has a solid reputation for breaking records while overclocking. Frankly, I think Corsair is over priced.

If you want to be sure, check the QVL list of your mainboard and see if those RAMs are supported. If either one is then take that one, if both are, it doesnt really matter which one you take (though I personally prefer G.Skill), if none is, then look for different ones that are.
