How to correctly plug audio jacks on motherboard?

I'm afraid your picture doesn't seem to be working.
As far as powering the audio jacks on the motherboard, they should be getting powered from the same PSU cable that is supplying power to your other I/O ports (usb, etc.).
If you are talking about the audio ports on the case, those plug into very specific motherboard pins that you need to look up on your motherboard documentation.
