I just recently bought a GTX 760 and my computer crashes if I max the card out. I have also seen some incompatible DLL errors. I am having no issue with heat, and I can run the card for days straight in games like Minecraft, etc. I opened up ASUS Probe II and noticed right before the crash my 12V rail goes down to 11.54 V. I am not sure if this is an issue. I used ASUS' power supply calculator and it recommends a total of 550w for my system. I have a 680w psu. So you would think this is no big deal, right? Well NVidia recommends a 30A 12V rail for the whole system and mine is only 22A. Could this be causing the voltage to drop? Is that enough of a drop in voltage for the whole system to crash?

Not all PSU's are the same, and wattage rating can certainly be misleading. As in car stereo amplifiers, a low quality amp may advertise the ability to produce 1000w max, but a high quality 100w amp will sound and perform entirely unexpectedly if you're just looking at the headline rating:

It sounds like you've zeroed in on the right problem to explore first though......get a better quality PSU.

Incompatible dll's are a different issue; I would start with a complete driver uninstall/reinstall and see if that helps. If it's game specific, then explore the same option with the game (depending on the context of the message).

Forgot to close this. Went to Best Buy and dropped $60 on a 650w 50A 12V psu, and it solved the problem. Thanks for providing a second opinion before I went out and started replacing parts!
