Hey guys, I wanted to see if anyone can help me out with an issue im experiencing. Currently im in the process of upgrading my Pc. I recently picked up a Asus Maximus VIII Hero. Im under the impression that ive been sent a faulty board. The power and reset buttons are lighting up, but the memok light isnt turning on, no display out. The I7 processor I bought I ensured was compatible with the board; my cpu fan isnt spinning nor are the case fans. Ive tested for broken psu, broken power button, reset cmos battery and ensured it wasnt dead, and I have also started the board outside of the case with the ram cards fully seated to make sure it wasnt grounding somewhere and I still experience the same issues. Does anyone have suggestions that I could test out before I RMA the board? If I need to List my current specs let me know, Ill post them.
This is not my first build, I just havent ran into these problems and I havent been able to find info elsewhere due to the mobo being fairly new.
Cheers!

Yes, both the 24 pin AND the 8 pin connector have been connected properly. I wouldnt be surprised if someone were to do that  ; fortunately this is not my first build, and have taken extra care to ensure everything is connected as it should be.

hmm i'm using the VIII hero also and i've never had issues with asus boards being DOA..
any error codes displayed?
try starting without RAM and see if it gives the POST error beeps
also check the CPU socket for bent pins
